Imran Khan In Trouble: Supreme Court has rejected bail plea of culprits
The spokesperson of Punjab Police says that no leader or worker of Tehreek-e-Insaf will be arrested in today’s protest.
In a statement, the police spokesman said that if anyone tries to take the law into his hands, action will be taken against him.
The police spokesman further said that in case of more arrests, the workers will be transferred to other districts of Punjab because there is no room for more prisoners in the jails of Lahore.
This statement of the police has come out after the PTI leadership announced the Jail Bharu movement of Tehreek-e-Insaf, where a large number of leaders and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf have started reaching Zaman Park and Charing Cross (Faisal Chowk).
The movement aims to protest against elections, economic instability and the alleged crackdown on party leaders and workers.
Meanwhile, PTI Senior Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi and General Secretary Asad Umar have also decided to arrest on the first day of the movement.
Yesterday, in the meeting of the governing body of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central Punjab Wing, the ‘Jail Bharu Movement’ was discussed in detail while President Lahore Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood gave a detailed briefing to the participants and decided the strategy to make the movement successful. went
While referring to alleged torture on PTI leader Shahbaz Gill and Azam Swati, he said the drive was being launched to protest the custodial torture, attacks on journalists and social media people.
“Two, it is against the economic meltdown brought on by cabal of crooks who have money laundered billions in looted wealth & gotten NROs for themselves,” Mr Khan said, adding that the government’s policies have crushed the poor and middle class “under the burden of spiraling inflation & rising unemployment”.
