Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan appears to be helped into a waiting vehicle after his leg was injured in an alleged assassination attempt.

Video shows Khan waving to his supporters from a campaign vehicle before being lifted down by some people who help him into a waiting car.
A senior leader from his party and police have said a gunman opened fire at a container lorry carrying Pakistan’s former prime minister, wounding him in the shin and also hurting some of his supporters. Khan is said to have survived the attack.
